CELTIC, Central Gaul. Aedui. Circa 80-50 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 13 mm, 1.55 g, 8 h), 'à la tête casquée' type. Helmeted head of Roma to left. Rev. Celticized horse galloping left; before, torque; above, sun ornament. DT -. LT -. SLM -. An extremely rare variety. Beautifully toned and with a particularly charming horse. The obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
