Licinius I, 308-324. Follis (Bronze, 17 mm, 4.37 g, 6 h), a contemporary imitation from an irregular mint, imitating Treveri, 318-319. IMP [LICI]-NIVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Licinius I to left, holding mappa in his right hand and scepter in his left. Rev. IOVI CONSERVATORI AVG / STR Licinius I, borne by eagle standing right on wave line with head turned left and wings spread, holding scepter in his left hand and thunderbolt in his right. Cf. RIC 212 (for prototype). Struck on a thick and heavy flan. Very fine.
