Phocas, 602-610. Half Follis (Bronze, 26 mm, 6.06 g, 6 h), Thessalonica, RY 4 = 605/6. Om FOCAЄ PERP AV Crowned, draped and cuirassed bust of Phocas facing, holding cross in his right hand. Rev. Large K flanked by A/N/N/O and II/II; in exergue, TЄS. DOC 49-50 var., MIB 92 var. and SB 654 var. (all with differing regnal years). An apparently unpublished date, perhaps unique. Attractive earthen highlights on a dark patina. Traces of overstriking, otherwise, very fine.
