ISLAMIC, Mongols. Ilkhanids. Sulayman, AH 739-746 / AD 1339-1346. 2 Dirhams (Silver, 19 mm, 1.76 g, 9 h), a contemporary local imitation of a Sulayman Khan (type B) 2 Dirham, irregular mint. Legend in crude and blundered Arabic in inner field and outer margin. Rev. Legend in crude and blundered Arabic in inner square and outer margin. Light areas of weakness, otherwise, good very fine.


Due to the crudeness of the imitative calligraphy the date on this coin is difficult to read, but the most likely reading is AH 740.
