KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arsames, circa 255-225 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 17 mm, 4.44 g, 1 h), first series. Head of Arsames to right, wearing bashlyk with beaded edges, tied with a diadem. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / APΣAMOY King on horseback to right, hurling spear at two attacking soldiers; below his horse, a third, fallen soldier. Kovacs 1. Rare. Some old scratches on the reverse, otherwise, good fine.
