SASANIAN KINGS. Khosrau II, 591-628. Drachm (Silver, 32 mm, 4.08 g, 9 h), BBA (Court) mint, RY 36 = AD 626. Draped bust of Koshrau II to right, wearing elaborate crown with two wings, frontal crescent, and star-in-crescent; all within double border with star-in-crescents in margin. Rev. Fire altar with ribbons flanked by attendants; star and crescent flanking flames; all within triple border with star-in-crescents in margin. Göbl Type II/3. Struck from a slightly corroded obverse die, otherwise, extremely fine.
