Julius Caesar. 46-45 B.C. AR denarius (18 mm, 3.66 g, 12 h). Military mint with Caesar in Spain. Diademed head of Venus right; behind shoulder, Cupid / CAES[AR] in exergue, trophy with Gallic arms between female and male seated captives. Crawford 468/1; HCRI 58; Sydenham 1014; RSC 13. Reverse struck a little off center, light oxdation and minor porosity. Nice very fine.
