Azilises on horseback, holding lowered spear; Greek legend around / City goddess standing left, holding brazier and filleted palm frond; Kharoshthi letter Sa in left field, with monogram to left; Sam in right field; Kharoshthi legend around Maharajasa rajarajasa mahatasa/ Ayalishasa (of Great King, King of Kings, Alizises the Great). HGC 12, 579; Senior 56.10D. Rare with Kharoshthi letter Sa in left field. Choice. Very fine.

An attractive specimen on a broad flan, with the king's name AZIΛICOY clearly visible. This variety is listed by Senior (56.10D), but not illustrated.
