Yajnabala. Ca. 2nd century A.D. Æ 1/2 karshapana (11 mm, .87 g). Lamp flanked by standards, all resting on sacred pedestal / Brahmi legend Yajnaba(la), with three Panchala dynastic symbols above. Not listed in Mitchiner. Very rare. Very fine.

Shrimali (History of Pancala) records an early king called Yajnapala, but here the legend clearly reads Yajnabala. The fabric is also a much later type, so this coin was issued by a hitherto unrecorded ruler Yajnabala.
