Gautamiputra Sri Yajna Satakarni. Ca. A.D. 155-180. AR half drachm (15 mm, 1.33 g). Curly-haired bust of king right, wearing a jewel on forehead and battle-axe earrings, with Brahmi legend Rano Gotamiputasa Siri Yajna Satakanisa around / Ujjain symbol and six-arched hill with crescent, with southern Brahmi/Telugu legend around. This half denomination is not listed in Mitchiner. This specimen has a wonderful portrait and clear legends. Very rare. Toned, slightly porous. Unusual portrait. Very fine .
Fractional bust-type silver coins of the Satavahana kings are very rare.
