Narendra. Ca. 6th century A.D. Æ coin (24 mm, 2.44 g). King's bust right, wearing crescent-crested crown and holding plant; Brahmi legend Sri at top right / Blank (incuse of obverse punch). Gobl 150. A lovely specimen with complete details. Scarce and superb. Very fine.

The king's head is elongated, typical of the Huns who practised head-binding. This Taxila issue has been attributed to a local ruler called Narenda.
