SICILY. Katane. Circa 405-403/2 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14.5 mm, 1.70 g, 12 h). Ivy-wreathed head of Silenos to left, balding, with an animal ear, and a long beard. Rev. KATANAIΩΝ Bull butting to right; in exergue, fish swimming to left. HGC 2, 585. Rizzo pl. 14, 22. SNG Ashmolean 1713. Rare, nicely toned and with a finely engraved head of Silenos. Very fine.
