LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 330-290 BC. Didrachm or nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.85 g, 7 h), Ly.... Head of Demeter to right, wearing wreath of barley ears and triple-pendant earring. Rev. META Ear of barley with [ΛΥ to lower left] and Nike standing left over the right leaf, holding wreath. HN III 1592. Johnston Class C. 9.3 (same dies). SNG ANS 498. SNG Copenhagen 1225. Bright example and appealing. Good very fine.
