SICILY. Himera. Circa 425-409 BC. Hemilitron (Bronze, 20 mm, 4.28 g, 1 h). Pan, blowing conch shell and holding kerykeion, riding goat to right; below, Corinthian helmet. Rev. Nike flying to left, holding filleted aphlaston and hem of her dress; six pellets (value mark) on her left. CNS 27. HGC 2, 474. Kraay, Bronze, 10. Of a wonderful classical style; a particularly elegant coin. Very fine.
