KINGS OF PAPHLAGONIA. Pylaimenes II/III Euergetes, Circa 133-103 BC. Hemiobol (Bronze, 20 mm, 4.36 g, 12 h). Bust of Pylaimenes (as Herakles) to right, with club over his shoulder and lion's skin tied around his neck. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ /ΠYΛΑΙΜΕΝΟΥ ΕΥΕΡΓΕΤΟΥ Nike standing to left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond with her left. HGC 7, 440. RG pg. 127, 1. SNG BM Black Sea 1550. SNG Copenhagen 321. SNG von Aulock 148. A fine example. Some roughness, mainly on the reverse fields, otherwise, about extremely fine.
