IONIA. Ephesos. Circa 180-67 BC. Cistophoric Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 12.47 g, 12 h), year MC = 46 = 89-88. Basket (cista mystica) from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, MC (date) above EΦE; to right, lighted torch; between snakes' heads, headdress of Isis. Kleiner, dated 47. Rare year. Well centered and nicely toned. Very fine.
