SATRAPS OF CARIA. Maussolos, Circa 377/6-353/2 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 3.65 g, 12 h), Halikarnassos. Laureate head of Apollo facing, turned slightly to right. Rev. ΜΑΥΣΩΛΛΟ Zeus Laubraundos standing right, holding long scepter and double ax. BMC 9 ff. SNG von Aulock 2362. Attractively toned and of exquisite style. Reverse struck from a worn die, otherwise, nearly very fine.
