GALATIA. Pessinos. 1st century BC. (Bronze, 25 mm, 21.57 g, 12 h). Jugate draped busts right of Attis, wearing Phrygian cap, and Kybele Agditis, wearing turreted crown. Rev. MHTPOΠ ΠEΣΣINEAΣ Lion seated to left, his right paw raised and resting on a shield; to left and right, piloi of the Dioskouroi . HGC 7, 766; SNG BN 2563. Rare, especially so well centered and clear. Dark tan patina. Good very fine.
