KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes the Younger, 77/6-66 BC. Half chalkous (Bronze, 12.5 mm, 2.10 g, 1 h), series 6 of Tigranes the "Great", Tigranocerta, circa 70-69. Diademed and draped bust of Tigranes the Younger to right, wearing five-pointed tiara decorated with a comet. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ TIΓPANOY / ΔH-MO Horse grazing to right. ACV 121. CAA -. Kovacs 97.1 (see also the comment to the half chalkous of Tigranes the Younger, Kovacs 148). An important hybrid with an obverse die bearing the portrait of Tigranes the Younger combined with a reverse die intended for Tigranes II. Green patina. Reverse struck slightly off-center, otherwise, very fine.
