SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Demetrios I Soter, 162-150 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.66 g, 1 h), Antioch on-the-Orontes, circa 162-155/4. Diademed head of Demetrios I to right; around, laurel wreath. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ Tyche, holding a short scepter in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left, seated left on a backless throne supported by a sphinx; in exergue, monogram of HP. HGC 9, 795f. SC 1640.2a. Toned. Test cut at 11° on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
