PHRYGIA. Acmoneia. Augustus, 27 BC - 14 AD. (Bronze, 14 mm, 2.71 g, 1 h). ΣEBAΣTOΣ Bare head of Augustus to right. Rev. AKMO[ΝΕΩΝ...] Artemis advancing right, holding bow in her left hand and drawing an arrow from her quiver with her right; before her to right, stag. Apparently unpublished, but cf. RPC 3165, for an Akmonean coin of Augustus of the same size and with the same reverse, but with a head of Augustus to left. Of great rarity, apparently unknown. With a vigorous portrait of Augustus. Good very fine.
