PAMPHYLIA. Side. Elagabalus, 218-222. Tetrassarion or Sestertius (Bronze, 32 mm, 23.71 g, 7 h). AY K M AYP ANTΩNEINOC Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus to right, seen from behind. Rev. CΙ-Δ-Η-ΤΩΝ Athena seated left within distyle temple, holding spear and Victory; pomegranate in pediment. Apparently unpublished for Elagabalus but cf. SNG France 830 for an example of Julia Paula from the same reverse die. Extremely rare. Very fine.
