Diva Faustina Senior, died 140/1. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.75 g, 6 h), struck under her husband Antoninus Pius, Rome, 146-161. DIVA FAVSTINA Draped bust of the deified Faustina I to right. Rev. AVGVSTA Ceres standing front, head to left, holding torch with her right hand and raising her skirt with her left. BMC 422. Cohen 104. RIC III 362 (Pius). A well struck, beautifully toned example. Minor edge fault, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
