Edward III (1327-77), Quarter-Noble, Tower, 1.76g [27.2gns], 9h, m.m. cross pattée (6), chevron-barred as (cf. Doubleday 5-8; Potter {1964}, pl. X, no. 22; Schneider I, 7; N.1112; S.1483), minor flan creasing and a resultant daylight crack through centre, otherwise a pleasingly bold very fine, the obverse struck better still, rare, same obverse die as next.
