Edward III (1327-77), Noble, Tower, series Gd/Gf mule, 7.63g [117.7gns], 7h, single saltire stops, unbarred as and ns, ropes 3/1, ornaments 1-1-1-1, quatrefoils 4/4, rev. i.m. cross pattée [cross 3 (4)], reads ihe, double stop after tranciens, additional annulets beside lys at top end of floriate cross, small e in centre (LAL, dies BG/38; Doubleday 114, same dies; Schneider I, 46/-; N.1181/1182; S.1490), struck with rusty dies on a broad flan, otherwise about fine, the reverse considerably better.
