Edward III (1327-77), Half-Noble, Tower, series B/A mule, 3.83g [59.1gns], 1h, single annulet stops, unbarred as, reads fra, reverse-barred ns, ropes 3/3, ornaments 1-1-1, quatrefoils 3/3, rev. i.m. cross pattée [6], unbarred as, double saltire stops, additional lys by leopard's tail in fourth quarter, closed e in centre (LAL 3; Doubleday 12, same dies; Schneider I, 10; N.1140 {rev. as 1111}; S.1491 {rev. as 1482), neatly pierced at 11 o'clock for suspension and accordingly once cleaned, further trace double-striking, otherwise about very fine for issue, rare.
Reportedly found near Northolt, Middlesex (acquired 6 July 2007)
