MYSIA, Kyzikos. Circa 550-450 BC. EL Stater (16mm, 16.07 g). Hound at bay, on tunny, left / Quadripartite incuse square. Von Fritze I 93 var. (foreleg lowered); Boston MFA 1469 var. (same); SNG BN 230 var. (same). VF. A rare variety with the hound's foreleg lowered, rather than raised, as is usually seen. Only five other examples listed on Coin Archives.
