SELEUKIS and PIERIA, Laodikeia. 78/7-16/5 BC. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 13.73 g, 1h). Dated year 16 of the Caesarian Era (33/2 BC). Veiled, draped, and turreted bust of Tyche right / Zeus Nikephoros seated left; [IO]YΛIEΩN TΩN KAI ΛAOΔIKEΩN to outer left and right, ςI (date) and AΦ to inner left; ME below throne, ΛY in exergue; all within wreath. Mørkholm, Autonomous –; RPC I 4380 var. (unlisted date); HGC 9, 1402 var. (same); DCA 568 var. (same); Prieur –. Toned, some pitting and roughness. VF. Extremely rare date, unlisted in DCA and none in CoinArchives; this was the only example known to Prieur.
