CYRRHESTICA, Cyrrhus. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (26.5mm, 13.40 g, 12h). Struck circa AD 215-217. Radiate head right / Laureate head of Caracalla right, set on eagle standing facing on [filleted thyrsus], head and tail right, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak. Prieur 902 var. (obv. bust type). Lightly toned, porous, a couple of deposits. VF. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and none in CoinArchives.
