CYRRHESTICA, Cyrrhus. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (26.5mm, 12.83 g, 12h). Struck circa AD 215-217. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing on filleted thyrsus, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak. Prieur 912 var. (eagle's head and tail right). Toned, minor porosity, deposits. Good VF. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and one specimen, this coin, in CoinArchives.
