CYRRHESTICA, Hierapolis. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 13.20 g, 1h). Struck circa AD 215-217. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust facing, head left / Eagle standing right, head right and tail left, with left wing behind leg, holding wreath in beak, on top of lion advancing right. Prieur 941 var. (eagle standing facing). Toned, some granularity and/or porosity. Good VF. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and two specimens, including this coin, in CoinArchives.
