SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Emesa. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (26.5mm, 13.79 g, 6h). Struck circa AD 215-217. Laureate bust right, slight drapery / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Shamash left. Prieur 970 (this coin). Toned with underlying luster. Good VF. Extremely rare, only one noted by Prieur, and one in CoinArchives.
