SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Emesa. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 14.05 g, 6h). Struck circa AD 215-217. Laureate head right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Shamash left; H beneath eagle's head. Prieur 984. Lightly toned with underlying luster, obverse struck slightly off center. EF. Extremely rare, only four noted by Prieur, and three in CoinArchives.
