SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Emesa. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (26.5mm, 13.75 g, 6h). Struck circa AD 215-217. Laureate head right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Shamash left; crescent above eagle's head. Prieur 1011 (this coin). Lustrous, obverse metal flaw (striation). EF. Extremely rare, only three noted by Prieur, and two in CoinArchives.
