SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Emesa. Diadumenian. As Caesar, AD 217-218. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 11.04 g, 6h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Shamash left; crescent turned to left beneath eagle's head. Prieur 1019 (this coin). Lustrous, minor porosity, irregular edge. EF. Very rare, only seven noted by Prieur, and four in CoinArchives.
