SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Emesa. Diadumenian. As Caesar, AD 217-218. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 11.46 g, 1h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Shamash left; crescent turned to left beneath eagle's head. Prieur 1020 (this coin). Toned, porous, flatly struck in areas. Good VF. Very rare, only six noted by Prieur, and two in CoinArchives.
