SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Emesa. Uranius Antoninus. Usurper, AD 253-254. BI Tetradrachm (23.5mm, 9.34 g, 6h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; S C in exergue. Baldus 23; Prieur 1057; RPC IX 1890/2 (this coin cited). Corroded brown surfaces. Near VF. Extremely rare, only one known to Prieur, and one, this coin, in CoinArchives. Three examples cited by the authors of RPC.
