COELESYRIA, Heliopolis. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 13.74 g, 6h). Struck circa AD 215-217. Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail right, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, star above lion advancing right. Prieur 1197 var. (obv. bust type). Toned, a touch of porosity. Good VF. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and none in CoinArchives.
