MESOPOTAMIA, Carrhae. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 12.50 g, 11h). Struck circa AD 215-217. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust left / Eagle standing facing, head and tail right, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; star to upper left, crescent between legs, two pellets in exergue. Prieur 832A (this coin). Toned, some minor porosity, slight double strike on both sides. Good VF. Extremely rare, only one noted by Prieur, and none in CoinArchives.
