MESOPOTAMIA, Edessa. Macrinus. AD 217-218. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 13.25 g, 12h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail right, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, shrine with pediment. Prieur 863 (this coin). Toned, some porosity. VF. Extremely rare, only two noted by Prieur, and one in CoinArchives.
