AVT KPAT KNAPKOCAV ANTΩNЄINOC, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / ЄΠI CTP IOVΛ ANθIM[OV ΠЄP]ΓAMHNΩN, helmeted figure of the emperor standing left, with foot on helmet and holding spear and scroll; behind, Zeus enthroned left, holding spear and Victory, who crowns emperor with wreath; ΠPΩTΩN TPIC NЄΩKOPΩN in three lines in exergue. Curiously, the creator of this Paduan medallion chose to imitate a reverse type unpublished in the standard references and of which only one recorded example is known to this cataloguer, that sold by Nomos in 2011 (see references).
