Maximus Æ Cast Paduan Medallion. Unknown maker, circa 19th century AD. Imitating the mint of Pergamon, Mysia. Aurelius Nilus, magistrate. ΓIOVOVH MAΣIMEINOC AVΓ, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / ЄΠΙ CTP ΑVP NЄIΛOV ΠЄΡΓΑΜΗΝΩΝ, the emperor standing left, holding spear and cantharus(?) over altar, facing Demeter standing left, head right, holding long torch and ears of poppy; to left, pelta; in exergue, ΠΡΩΤΩΝ Γ NEΩΚΟΡΩΝ in two lines.
