Reverse die signed by the engraver Simo–. Obv: Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly r. Rx: Horse grazing r. with head lowered, [?API] above (off flan), SIMO below. Ex CNG E360, 30 September 2015, lot 40 (BCD Collection).This is an exceptional example of the early experimental Larissa coins that were cataloged by Catherine Lorber. This early coinage of Larissa is one of the few times outside of Syracuse where Greek coins are signed by the artist. EF
