Obv: IMP TRAIANVS AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P Head laureate r. with fold of cloak on front shoulder. Rx: DIVVS PATER - TRAIAN Cult statue of Trajan's natural father seated l. on curule chair, holding patera and scepter.Apparently Trajan did not consecrate his natural father until 112 AD, since it was only then that types showing the portrait or cult statue of Divus Traianus Pater appeared in Trajan's coinage. This is the best depiction of the cult statue of Traianus Pater that we have ever handled. F
