Thompson-376, rev. like the unillustrated die d. Obv: Helmeted head of Athena r. Rx: Owl standing r. on amphora, head front; ethnic and magistrates' names l. and r., winged caduceus in l. field; third magistrate FI?O?P in r. field, G on amphora, ME below; all within olive wreath. Thompson misread the last letter in the name of the third magistrate in this variety as an O; our new specimen shows that it is in fact a P. Ex Berk 182 (online only), December 2012, lot 103 ("ex Redpath Collection, purchased in the 1990s").. EF
