Bavaria. Ludwig I Ducat 1830 MS62+ Prooflike NGC, KM758, Fr-275. A very difficult ducat type of Ludwig I, here presented in near-choice condition. The King's portrait and the reverse river scene are luxuriously satiny and both struck to great detail. These features provide a clear cameo effect when juxtaposed against the fields, which beam luster in the viewer's direction, displaying full and admirable reflectivity. This example remains the only of its kind to be certified by NGC, undoubtedly a testament to its scarcity.
