Vittorio Emanuele III gold 100 Lire 1925-R MS63 Matte PCGS, Rome mint, KM66, Fr-32, Pag-645. Despite its being assigned an 'MS' grade by PCGS, this appears to be a mis-diagnosis, as the issue was only produced in matte Proof format. While some scattered handling wisps are noted to the peripheries in line with the grade, the coin at hand remains a truly choice piece with bold honey color and perhaps slightly more brightness than is usual for this shineless type. An attractive and above-average representative of the type.
