Philip V gold Cob 2 Escudos 1709 L-M MS64 NGC, Lima mint, KM36, CT-303. 6.69gm. An unusually strong type representative featuring a clear display of all central features, including a crisp date and denomination. Few Mint State survivors exist of this type in general, but locating one of any particular date proves quite difficult. Only a single MS65-graded example certifies finer at NGC, with none seen above MS63 by PCGS.
