Ferdinand VI gold Cob 8 Escudos 1748 L-R MS61 NGC, Lima mint, KM47. A difficult type to obtain in Mint State. Centrally struck, the flan slightly tapered leaving weaker detail to the peripheries where the die could not reach; this only adds charm and a true 'Cob' appearance, however. Its color a rich gold punctuated by darker tone in the centers. In all regards a visual delight, and an offering whose quality will not go unnoticed. Currently certified NGC pop 1, with none higher.
