Alexander III Proof Rouble 1894-AГ PR63 Cameo NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-Y46, Bit-78, Dav-292. Small head variety. Obv. Small-head portrait of Alexander III facing right. Rev. Crowned Imperial eagle with date and value. The strike is notably exacting, with only a very few minor marks. The fields are deeply mirrored and both sides exhibit mottled blue and gold patina. A search of the NGC and PCGS websites reveals only three Proof examples of this date, with only one PR64 certified finer. Extremely rare.
